TYNEGRAIN - STORAGE & MARKETING
Tynegrain is a grain storage and marketing cooperative based at Tyne Docks in the North East of England. Due to the location of the cooperative, the company benefits from a deep water export berth which dispatches an average of 200,000 tonnes of product globally every year.

Tynegrain, therefore, provides Northern cereal and oilseed growers direct-controlled export access to international markets through the 100,000-tonne capacity silo.

The store was built in 1983 as a farming cooperative, and to this day still operates as a farming cooperative drying up to 80,000 tonnes of cereals and oilseed rape yearly.

To become a member, farmers rent a space in the store in return for shares in the company.
[NB: Tynegrain recorded record profits and shareholder returns for 2023]
